Supporting CALD Older People Who Have Experienced Trauma

This course is co-facilitated with ASeTTS to improve participants’ knowledge, understanding and management of older culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) people who have experienced trauma and are using aged care services.

This workshop is designed to enhance participants

  • Demonstrated increased level of cultural awareness and an increased understanding of, and respect for, diversity
  • Understanding the impact of trauma and the appearance of post-traumatic symptoms in clients from refugee-like backgrounds
  • Ability to identify the barriers to working effectively with CALD clients who have experi-enced trauma
